D1100 Self-Powered Transport Refrigeration Unit
The BlackShields D1100 is designed for large refrigerated truck bodies with a recommended box volume of 45–60 m³. Its independent power architecture supports temperature-controlled transport where refrigeration performance must not depend on the truck engine.
Transport refrigeration is primarily designed to maintain cargo at its required transport temperature. Pull-down performance depends on the cargo entering temperature, body insulation, ambient temperature, door-opening frequency and loading conditions. The unit should be selected from a complete heat-load assessment rather than box volume alone.

Final model selection should consider ambient design temperature, required cargo setpoint, insulated-body dimensions and K-value, door openings, loading pattern, route duration and electrical standby requirements. Mounting clearances and interfaces should be confirmed against the vehicle and body design before ordering.
